Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains how to cancel, and when you can get a refund. It is part of our Terms of Service; what you agree to when you buy is stated at checkout, before you pay. Prices and credit amounts are shown on our plan and pricing pages; this policy does not restate them.
The free trial
The free trial takes no payment card and starts no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. If you decide nybld isn't for you, simply stop using it or close your account.
Cancelling a membership
You can cancel a membership at any time, online, from the subscriptions in your customer account at nybld.com — it takes only a few steps and no phone call or email is required.
When you cancel:
- your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then;
- it does not renew again, and we do not charge you after you have cancelled;
- we do not give a partial refund for the current period once it has started, unless you have a legal right to one (see "If your withdrawal right still applies" and "If something is wrong with the service" below);
- any credits included with your membership remain available until the end of the period you have paid for.
After a yearly renewal
When a yearly membership renews, you have 14 days from the day of the renewal charge to cancel and be refunded. The email we send on the day of the renewal states the date the 14 days end. A cancellation made inside that period ends the membership on the day it is made, and the part of the year you have not used is refunded to your original payment method within 14 days. A cancellation made after it works as above: the membership runs to the end of the paid year and no part of it is refunded.
Monthly renewals do not open a cooling-off period; a monthly membership is cancelled as above and runs to the end of the paid month.
Before a renewal we email you: 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before a yearly renewal, and 7 days before every sixth monthly renewal, each time stating the date and amount of the charge and how to cancel before it.
Credit bundles
Credit bundles are a one-off purchase. They do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
Once you have used a credit, that credit has done its job and is not refundable. Credits you buy as a bundle do not expire, and you keep them even if you cancel a membership. For a bundle you have not started using, your 14-day withdrawal right may still apply — see below.
Turnkey store
A turnkey store, with any add-ons bought with it (the brand package, the Etsy import), is a one-off purchase for members. It does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel later.
Once everything you bought has been delivered — your store transferred to you and, with the brand package, your logo files and brand kit — it is not refundable.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have 14 days from the purchase to cancel. When you buy, you ask us to start straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once everything is delivered. To cancel before then, email mail@nybld.com: we refund the price less the work done up to then, in proportion to the whole order. Once everything is delivered, the right to cancel has ended. This is set out in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 36.
A turnkey store needs a membership. One bought without a membership is refunded in full.
If your withdrawal right still applies (UK customers)
If you are a consumer in the UK, the law normally gives you 14 days to change your mind about a distance purchase and get a refund.
nybld is digital content you can use immediately, so this right works a particular way. When you buy, checkout asks you to agree that we can start straight away and to acknowledge that, once we do, you lose the 14-day right to a refund. Once you have given that consent and we have begun supplying the service, the 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies — this is set out in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 37.
If you did not give that consent and acknowledgement at checkout, or supply has not yet begun, your 14-day right still stands. Email mail@nybld.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will arrange your refund.
If something is wrong with the service
Your right to withdraw is separate from your rights if the service is faulty, and those rights cannot be signed away.
If you are a UK consumer and the service does not meet the standard the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires — that digital content is of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose you told us about, and as described — you are entitled to have the problem put right by a repair or replacement, and, where that is not possible or does not fix it, to a price reduction, which for a serious failure can be a full refund.
A turnkey store and its add-ons are services: the Act requires them to be performed with reasonable care and skill. If it is not, you are entitled to have it done again, and, where that is not possible or does not fix it, to a price reduction.
If you think something is wrong, contact mail@nybld.com and we will put it right.
Customers in the United States
There is no general cooling-off right for digital purchases made online in the US, so outside the situations above refunds are at our discretion under this policy. What you can always do is cancel a membership easily, online, at any time — we will not charge you again after you cancel. If a plan renews yearly, we will remind you before it does.
How we make refunds
Where a refund is due, we make it to the original payment method you used, through Shopify, as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we agree the refund is due.
