Cookie Notice
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This notice explains the cookies used across nybld — the website and store, and the app you sign in to. A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. The law treats cookies differently depending on whether they are essential to a service you asked for, or used for other things like analytics and advertising.
Cookies in the nybld app
The nybld app uses two cookies, both essential.
| Cookie | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
nybld_session |
Keeps you signed in after you log in with your magic link. Without it, you could not stay logged in. | Strictly necessary |
nybld_ui |
A random value, renewed at each sign-in, that keeps one sign-in's screens from showing to the next person signed in on the same browser. It identifies nothing about you. | Strictly necessary |
The app also keeps two things in your browser's own storage: a copy of the screens open in a tab so pages load quickly, cleared when the tab closes; and whether you collapsed the sidebar, which you can object to by clearing this site's storage in your browser (the sidebar then opens at its default). Neither leaves your device.
We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising cookies in the app. Because these are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, or only remember how you set the screen, the law does not require us to ask for your consent to them. We disclose them here so you know they are there.
Cookies on nybld.com
The store runs on Shopify, which manages cookies for it. Shopify sets essential cookies that are needed to run the store — for example, to keep your cart, to run checkout, and to keep the site secure. Like the app's session cookie, these are strictly necessary and do not require your consent.
nybld.com also uses Meta's pixel for advertising. Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from nybld.com and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure ads and to choose which ads to show. On nybld.com the pixel records the pages you view and the buttons you press, and the products you add to your cart or buy. We use this to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show them to people who have visited nybld.com.

_fbp |
Meta's pixel, on nybld.com | Identifies your browser, so Meta can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited nybld.com | 90 days | Marketing |
The pixel, and any other non-essential cookie on nybld.com, runs only after you accept it in the banner nybld.com shows on your first visit. If you decline, the pixel does not run and nothing is sent to Meta. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie preferences at the foot of every page on nybld.com. How Meta uses the information it receives is set out in Meta's Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy; the Ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings also control how Meta uses activity from other websites to show you ads.
Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting cookies already stored and blocking new ones. For non-essential cookies on nybld.com, use the banner on your first visit, or Cookie preferences at the foot of any page, to accept, reject or change your choice.
One thing to know: if you block the app's essential cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.
Why some cookies need consent and others don't
Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for are exempt from consent, as is storage whose only purpose is to remember how you set a website's display, provided you are told and can object — but they must still be disclosed, which is what this notice does. Cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics and advertising cookies, require your consent before they are set.
